I strive to be a Proverbs 31 woman by reflecting God’s love and grace in all aspects of my life and business. Each custom cake, cupcake, and dessert is more than just a treat—it’s a celebration of life’s blessings and a way to bring joy to your special moments because I truly believe every day gives us something to celebrate. As a proud Marine Corps spouse, I follow my husband wherever the Marines send him, living out the promise in Ruth 1:16: “Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.” Each new location brings fresh inspiration and opportunities to serve my community through baking. Honoring my family’s deep roots in military service, I am committed to sharing a piece of home and heart with those who sacrifice so much for our freedoms. I pour my heart into every creation—whether it’s a wedding, birthday, or a simple treat to brighten someone’s day. Good desserts have a special way of bringing people together and I am passionate about creating a kinder world for my children and future generations through small acts of love, grace, and sweetness. When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m spending time with my family, volunteering in my community, or finding inspiration through my faith. Wisdom Wednesday 🤍

Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I can take the order. I can squeeze one more thing onto the schedule. I can stay up until 3 a.m. I can make something wildly complicated. I can say yes.

But should I?

That question has probably saved my sanity more than almost anything else I've learned in business.

Capability and calling aren't always the same thing and neither are opportunity and obligation.

Sometimes wisdom looks like saying:

“Yes, I can do that, but I'm choosing not to.”

Your time is a resource, too. Spend it wisely. ❤️

Testimony Tuesday | The Orders That Stay With You

After all of the years I have been doing this, I've forgotten plenty of details about individual bake days, but I remember the people.

The mom trusting me with her baby's first birthday.

The bride seeing her cake.

The Marine celebrating a career of service.

The church gathering around hundreds of desserts.

The friend who needed something special.

The customer who came back year after year.

Those are the orders that changed this from something I did into something I deeply cared about. You never really know what something means to another person when you're creating it.

Sometimes you're “just making cake.”

To them?

You're making part of a memory.

I'll never stop being grateful that people have trusted me with theirs. ❤️

Mission Monday | Better, Not Just Bigger

For a long time, I thought growing a bakery meant one thing: More.

More orders. More cakes. More weekends booked. More hours. More yeses.

But eight years of business have completely changed my definition of growth.

I don't necessarily want more of those things, I want better.

Better systems. Better margins. Better use of my time.

More creativity. More consistency. More room for my family.

A business can grow financially without consuming every available hour of the person running it.

That's what I'm building now.

Not the busiest version of Sugar, Spice, and All Things Iced, but the healthiest one. ❤️

🌿✨Sunday Prayer Chain ✨🌿

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.” – 1 Timothy 2:1

My bakery is more than cakes and desserts, it is a calling God has placed on my life to help others and share the love He has for His people. The amount of “Only God moments” I have experienced in the last eight years in business let’s me know I am on the right path. As long as He continues to provide the way, I will follow. I am now in my fourth state and praying over the mission He has called me to here.

With that said, on Sunday’s I have a prayer chain. If you have a need, a burden, or even a praise, please share it in the comments. I will personally pray over each request this week. If it is private, you can always message me. What you send me stays between us.

Sabbath + Stillness 🤍

You do not have to earn rest.

Not by finishing the list.

Not by getting ahead.

Not by making everyone else happy first.

Not by reaching some imaginary point where everything is finally done.

Because let's be honest...when is everything actually done?

There will always be another load of laundry.

Another email.

Another idea.

Another task.

Another thing we could be doing.

God didn't create rest as a reward for finally becoming productive enough to deserve it. And if God rested, then we should too.

He created it as part of the rhythm.

Today, I'm choosing to receive that.

The work will still be there tomorrow.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Apparently, I was baking for him before I even knew I'd fall for him. ❤️🎂

Last week I was putting together photos of every birthday cake I've made my husband since we've been together when I found this photo in my gallery too.

Christmas leave before his next deployment-2015

Sean was home on leave, and our friend group was getting together to celebrate having him home. I made him this cake.

At the time, he was my friend. I had absolutely no idea that eight months later we'd start dating. I didn't know that just 19 days after that, I'd make his first birthday cake as his girlfriend. I didn't know that I would eventually marry him and make our wedding cake. Or having babies and making their birthday cakes. Or our anniversary cakes. On top of deployments, homecomings, PCS moves.....and an entire bakery woven throughout our life together.

I certainly didn't know I'd still be standing in my kitchen making cakes for that same Marine more than a decade later.

But God knew. ❤️

And suddenly this old cake means so much more to me than it did when I made it.

Because before the birthday cakes, the marriage, the babies, all the places the Marine Corps would send us, and I knew that this man would become my husband...I was already baking for him and welcoming home. 🥹❤️

I’ve intentionally set aside September to slow down, be fully present with my family, and enjoy a very special season together.

I’ll be back in the kitchen again soon though! Availability for the remainder of 2026 will be limited, so if you’re hoping to celebrate with Sugar, Spice, and All Things Iced this fall or winter, I encourage you to reach out early to reserve your date.
