100% of proceeds AND tips will be donated toward their travel, housing, food, conference fees, and workshops.

Macarons - delicate sandwich cookies filled with endless possibilities and sometimes too pretty to eat

Why are they delicate and a PIA to make?
Everything has to be perfect the batter, the humidity, the temperature of the room, your oven, you can't over mix or undermix, and you have to just 🤲🏻 that everything just aligns.

Even 7 years of making these lovely delicate frustrating cookies, we sometimes get a batch that decides to go lopsided. So we've decided, instead of tossing them, they still taste great so let's sell them at a discount 💰

This class drizzle is the most common theme we have been creating for 6 years!

We have made over 70 macaron designs and themed boxes. This by far is my absolute favorite design. For obvious reasons but the bold colors, detailed hand crafted piping for the kufiyeh and the overall fire that lights up inside when I see these!

The black and gold classic hand painted stroke that has become our signature look and has embraced hundreds of macrons

What could be better than starting your day with a cinnamon cheesecake wrapped in a sweet buttery phyllo dough and nutty cinnamon crust!

✅ It took me 8 attempts to perfect this beauty
✅ It took me 20+ bad batches of macarons to perfect the perfect shell (and I still get bad ones)
✅ It took me almost 1 year to perfect Fil-O Crumble
✅ I am still perfecting our Cake Cubed ™️
✅ I am still figuring out marketing and social media 😭

I've wanted to give up SO many times but I refuse because that's just not who I am!

If you're new here, welcome!

If you have been with us from the beginning, thank you 😊

My name is Layla and I started Meezan a few years ago because, like many other bakers, I love seeing people enjoy my food and I wanted more than just a 9-5. Everything I know about baking and service came from my mom and my cultures love of gathering family and friends to the table. NO ONE does service and hospitality like Arabs!

And I’ll never apologize for using this platform for more than just baking. Given the current state of the world, it’s the least I can do. Honestly, I don’t feel like I do nearly as much as I could be doing—but I’ll continue to use whatever reach I have to speak up for what matters to me.

If that makes you uncomfortable, I wish I could say I understand but I can never relate to someone who chooses to be blind to the reality of this world for their own peace of mind. You’re always welcome to unfollow. I’d rather build a community that knows exactly what we stand for than stay quiet just to keep everyone happy.

Inshallah, our first storefront will be opening early 2027 and we plan to share more details as we go. We are still in the construction phase. New floors, plumbing, electric, equipment, and basically new everything!

Being a first generation Palestinian-American, the menu is a reflection of this. It will consist of a range of hand-crafted traditional Arabian pastries, Arabian infused American classics, savory pastries like Manakeesh and a no-refined sugar option because life is about balance (hence the name Meezan) 🍨🍮 🍰 🥖🫓🥙

For decades, many have warned the public that a specific country is attempting to infiltrate and take over this country. Yesterday, the house passed the NDAA - National Defense Authorization Act that was written by a foreign POS

If you have no idea what I'm talkin about - GOOGLE AND READ! ENOUGH is enough with acting like you had no idea

Once you educate yourself on all the reasons why we DO NOT want this to pass, GOOGLE "who is my senator"

Once you know who your senator is CALL THEM and tell them you want them to vote NO on the NDAA.

Tell each and every person you know in your life to do the same

THEN go and call them the next day and say the same thing
OVER AND OVER AGAIN

drop a comment below once you have called your senator and what you have learned about the NDAA that makes it completely and utterly disgusting that Congress is even entertaining this!
