THE VALENTINE’S DAY COOKIE CLASS IS LIVE!!! 🎉🩷

Love is so in the air and I am dying over these cuties! Each design will have a coordinating cello bag and tag that you can take home and gift to your favorite Valentine. If I love you more than diet coke, you have a very special place in my heart. ❤️ This girl doesn’t drink coffee so my afternoon diet coke is about the only thing keeping my eyeballs open. Getting in the way of my 3pm fix (drinking the last one you know who you are) = immediate hands. And if it’s a 2x diet coke day for some reason, you may want to exit this house.

2016!!! 🎉 Our family threw caution to the wind and said yes to an exciting opportunity. Our 10-year-old daughter, Sofia, was cast in the first National Tour of the Broadway musical, Fun Home, and we traveled the US for 9 months and lived in 15 cities. I got a taste of homeschooling our 3rd grader, Chloe, (wow huge respect for all the teachers!) We embraced experiential learning and went to museums, zoos and aquariums every day and then did (well tried to do) math worksheets at night on the bed in our little hotel rooms. We explored new cities, learned to live out of a suitcase, cook dinners in an electric skillet, do dishes in the bathroom sink and try not to kill each other while living in 300 sq feet.

It was the year before I quit my job at McKinsey and decided to become a full-time cooker. While on tour (when we weren’t in hotels) I made cookies for the cast and crew in our air bnb kitchens with the very limited cookie supplies I could fit in my trunk. We had cookie decorating parties for the kiddos and made it work. For one of the kids in the cast, I made a birthday set with a theme from a TV show you may have heard called Stranger Things. At the time, I didn’t know what it was because we were too scared to watch it. 😂

It was a chaotic year, but we each grew from it and will carry the memories and treasure the friendships we made with us forever. 2016 was so special to me because it was the inspiration I needed to jump in and start Kelly’s Cookies. We’re still kickin so I would call that a successful 10-year run so far. A lot has changed since then and I’m grateful for everyone that has followed me along the way!
