For our Fall/Winter wedding couples who haven’t yet had a chance to snag a cake-tasting, we’re doing our Autumn event next weekend — September 12+13. This season’s flavors will be: chocolate stout cake (always and forever fave), orange+almond+poppy, brown-sugar+bourbon, and cardamom cake. These boxes must be pre-ordered; more info and sign-up on the “weddings+events” page on the website. Link in profile and in today’s story. ***2027 couples, we’ll do a Spring//Summer event in March of next year. And, if you’re not getting married but still want cake? Go ahead and order - we’re making big cakes for this one! **pics are from this past Spring’s event - flavors/colors will be different.

We’ve been loving on the long cakes lately. 💕 I was thinking the other day how this all started when I bought a set of rectangular pans while I was in Paris a few years ago - first we did the small rectangular garden cakes and then the long cakes (which we didn’t know what to call at first- we landed on “the skinny”) and I really do love how they’ve evolved since we first started with them - on trend, but solidly FactoryGirl. I also love how they’re so easy to cut snd serve! We offer them in all of our flavors (vegan options, too) and the deco/garnish options are sooo good while we’re in peak garden flower season.

We’ll be closed on Sunday (tomorrow) this week, so come on out and scoop up some goodies today - we’re even getting ready early for you, opening 9ish today instead of 10. With the heat and the holiday (and how hard we’ve been working!), we have decided to take a break this week. We will still be sending fresh-baked goods to our friends at .nj, but the shop will be closed this week/weekend and we will not be doing cake/pre-orders. Cakes/pick-ups will resume on July 10th, when we’ll also be back to regular shop hours. Wishing you all a safe and happy 4th and stay cool in the upcoming heat! White cake, with violet French buttercream, dark chocolate cremeaux, and blackberry jam. The best part of having a birthday as a baker is giving yourself the gift of time and space to create your dream cake, and I’m grateful to have been able to do that this year. (Trust me, there are some years when I don’t want a cake in sight for my birthday!) Inspiration is different every year (the rose and rosé cake that is on our menu started as a Kimberly birthday cake!) and this year it was more about color — I’ve been obsessing over pale icy lavender tones and violets in the garden lately, and built around that to include rich chocolate and that violet buttercream that I love so much but typically only make in the Spring. Well friends, I made a big cake - slices in the case today/tomorrow morning. PS: Come see us this weekend to load up on treats! We’ll be closed July 1-9 for summer vacation! We’ll still bake up fresh goodies for our friends at .nj and , but we’re taking a break from the shop and cake/orders til the 10th. Happy Summer!

We know that (most) dads are a little more chill when it comes to Father’sDay, so we’re sticking with the good, simple, delicious unfussy classics this weekend. Swoop in and grab a few salted-caramel brownies, chocolate chip cookies, espresso bars, peanut butter cookies, oatmeal cream pies, and/or key-lime pie slices for Pop. We’re making up a few extra cakes and pies, but you know the drill - if you wanna scoop one of those up, best bet is to get here early - we’re booked for pre-orders. We’ll have the case stocked Saturday and Sunday morning, come on over - it’s a gorgeous weekend for some sweets!
