We are totally booked for cake pre-orders for the Mother’sDay weekend, but we do still have *some* availability for strawberry+rhubarb pies, scones, and pressed-flower cookies. Pre-order on the website (link in profile) before 8pm today (Thursday) for pick up on Saturday or Sunday morning. Otherwise, we are going to be baking many many pretty little treats for moms and just for fun - best selection Saturday morning when we open at 10!

FiNALLY, Spring is here. Goodness, friends, I was beginning to doubt that winter would ever end. I admit, my mood and my morale was pretty low. But now, happy-time - it’s here. Thank goodness. Fresh flower cakes, like this, will return in just a couple of weeks. Inspiration is flowing, parties are happening. Wishing you all a beautiful Spring. Thank you for sticking with us through the winter - we did have *some* fun, right? But now, it’s go-time. Bunny cakes, cookie boxes (bunnies and chicks and carrots and flowers and eggs oh my!), carrot cakes, coconut cakes, key lime pies and the Spring version of our Buche de Noel, our Buche de Printemps. *the ordering site was being wonky this morning- I’m sorry - I think I have it fixed now! 2026 wedding couples, our Spring Tasting Event dates are set and ordering is open! We’ll be offering curated boxes of four of our most popular Spring/Summer cake slices, plus two mini cupcakes and two of our pressed-flower cookies - for pick-up the weekend of March 21/22 and/or April 18/19. Both weekend are the same flavors, it’s just a matter of choosing the one that works best for your schedule. Berries riding toboggans, or cashmere throws draped over chaise lounges? Or just our lemon loaf cakes with buttercream - we thought that the finished look fit a mood, a mood that felt like it fit the week. I hope you’re all safe and warm and happy and having a snow day. We had a terrific week with y’all and we’re looking forward to doing it again - it’s nice that hibernation time is *starting* to lift and party season is slooooowly getting closer. Thank you to everyone who came out to see us last weekend for our Valentine/LoveDayPinkParty! It was certainly a very fun and very welcome change from the dull, uninspired slowness of how the winter had been. Ready to gallop past that and into Spring and our busy season! The crew and I have been collecting ideas and testing recipes for a lot of fun bakes that we cannot wait to share with you all. Thank you for keeping us going and let’s gooooooo! (These tarts we did this weekend - tangy grapefruit curd over crunchy poppyseed paste {an ingredient I love from my days of living in mostly-Polish Greenpoint, Brooklyn - I wonder if any of those bakeries are still there?} kissed with a swoop of toasted meringue. I swiped one for my dinner/dessert and it was so delicate and yum - we’ll definitely do them again sooner than later!)

Oh friends, it’s been so challenging to feel motivated through this winter weather! I was positively spoiled by being in summer in Chile for two weeks, riding horses and rolling (literally - they don’t have ticks!) in meadows of wild daisies and clover, while the FactoryGirls held down the fort here. And as excited as I was to come back and to roll up my sleeves and get baking, this weather has me cold and bored and depressed and feeling like “what’s the point.” 😩 But we’re coming out of it!! This past week we baked the most sunshine-y Meyer lemon cake, with Meyer lemon curd and saffron (that we grew and harvested ourselves!) buttercream - that was like medicine for the soul! We made SuperBowl cookies and came up with a new vegan cake option for the menu: vanilla+lavender cake with blackberry filling + cocoa frosting (yes we love that combo!) And next week - Valentines Day: we aren’t doing a pre-order menu, but we are going to do a Pop-Up at .nj - bringing plenty of boxed and ready-to-gift treats for your loved ones. (Thursday 2/12 10-it sells out - noon? 1pm?) On Friday and Saturday we’ll have the case loaded with pretty cupcakes and little cakes and cookies and cookie boxes (come early for best selection) plus plenty more for your sweethearts and your galentines and your kiddos and friends and, and, and. The sun is getting stronger. The days are getting longer. I’ve got my basement growlab set up with hundreds of little seedlings started already - setting roots for a beautiful, and delicious 2026. *** thank you to all of you who’ve been so patiently understanding that we’re not doing fresh flower cakes right now: while yes it is a thing we’re maybe most known for, we believe firmly in keeping it seasonal, local and absolutely so genuinely intentional - just a couple of months more and we’ll be back at it!
