I’ll be coming back to ya tomorrow folks!

Last week I spent time in New Mexico. I’m one of those people (or should I say weirdos 😆) who adventures and doesn’t slow down. Well, a little, I sat and relaxed some too. But to me that is relaxing and when I go someplace new I like to explore the culture and the history.

When I was in Taos Pueblo I saw these cookies. I asked the lady who made them, she was a native, if there was something special about them. She then proceeded to tell me that every village has its own spice combination and take on sugar cookies. These were the cookies of Taos Pueblo. Pretty cool stuff. The boys and I enjoyed trying them and they were quite unique.

So I did a thing on my way home from my vacation that seemed very fitting for living in Kansas and for my business…..I stopped in Dodge City and toured the boothill museum! It was pretty darn cool and if you haven’t been I would highly recommend it! Leaving a few pictures here because well…..

Sometimes I ask myself how I ended up with a 2.5 year old business at the age of 40 when I went to school for exercise physiology and never had anyone teach me how to do any of this. Then I remember that God knows our path. He doesn’t make the choices that navigate the turns but if you are willing He does walk them with you. The hairpins, the valleys, and the peaks. No journey is easy but somehow in the valleys (I have walked many and they don’t hold the beauty I found on this vacation) God has shown me I don’t have to play by anyone’s rules but His. I can be bold and trust that He has my back. That’s how I ended up here. From just finding an outlet, one of my first ever cinnamon rolls on the left to doing what I do now for a community that is willing to support my crazy notions and my old school way of life. This vacation reminded me how far I have come and (depending on Gods plan) how far I have yet to go. Thank you for being part of my journey.

In this day and age cds are obsolete. People buy vinyl more than they do cds. While I haven’t added to my collection in a long time, the cd/dvd player which also does radio and other things in the shop made the trip with me!!! It’s one and the same as the one I always get compliments on. And yes…..that is a burned cd from back in the day thanks to my biggest bro 😎 💿

Last memorial day I did the murph, my plan was the same for this year but things change. Instead I am on the open road, looking at the beauty God gave us and remembering those who sacrificed to keep it. I keep passing little towns with beautiful displays…flags flying well in the Kansas and Oklahoma wind….and I’m grateful to the bottom of my heart
