Everything in the auction with a ribbon on it was assembled by hand, by volunteers, at a folding table, over several weeks.

The Americana basket alone holds a flag, a trivet, two Betsy Ross dolls, eight woven place mats, a punched tin star and four passes to the National Constitution Center.

There are baskets for gin, bourbon, tequila, wh***ey, espresso martinis, charcuterie, Christmas, the kitchen, the tailgate and the beach.

Thank you to Becky Douglas, Susan and Vijay Aggarwal, and everyone who gave up their evenings.

Bidding closes tomorrow night at the gala. bakerindustries.home.qtego.us

Dan Porter sits on our board. He also takes photographs.

Four of them are in the auction: a black bear near Jenny Lake, the Moulton barn under the Tetons, an indigo bunting and a pair of tiger swallowtails, the last two taken at Binky Lee Preserve in Chester Springs.

Each is a framed giclee print, professionally made, 15 by 12 inches. The bear comes with two trail cameras. The butterflies come with four tickets to Longwood Gardens.

Yes, there is an electric trike in the auction.

Three wheels, a motor, and a basket. Groceries, the towpath, or just not needing the car.

One of 78 items, and easily the one most likely to change somebody's week.
