Okay… so apparently I had a little bakery temper tantrum. 😂

After a few days of thinking about it, I’ve decided that I’m not done with Sassafras Confection Co. after all. I just think it’s time to do things a little differently.

The truth is, I LOVE what I do. I know I make good stuff. I’m proud of what I create, and I absolutely love getting to make treats for y’all. ❤️

What I don’t love is feeling like I have to constantly keep up, keep posting, keep selling, keep creating new things, keep comparing myself to what everyone else is doing, and keep chasing the next order.

That part had started taking some of the fun out of something I genuinely love.

So instead of closing the door, I’m changing the way I run things.

✨ At least once a month, I’ll announce a small selection of treats that I’ll have available for that weekend. I’ll post the quantities ahead of time, and when they’re gone, they’re gone. No pressure to keep a full menu stocked or constantly have something available.

✨ Custom orders are still happening! I’ll just be setting a $22 minimum on custom orders.

✨ And there may still be the occasional holiday preorder or pop-up when I feel like it. 🤪

Basically, I’m taking Sassafras Confection Co. back to being something that brings me joy instead of something I feel like I have to constantly prove.

And apparently that required me to have a dramatic little “I’m quitting my bakery” moment first. 😂😂

Thank you to everyone who reached out after my last post. I’m so grateful for everyone who has encouraged me, ordered from me, shared my stuff, or has supported Sassafras Confection Co. in any way. It means more than you know.

So… we’re not done yet. We’re just doing things differently. 💕🧁
