HOW IS IT SEPTEMBER ALREADY?! 🍎🍂

New month, new menu, new reasons to come hang in the Lab.

Squash. Apples. Caramel. Chocolate. PB&J. S’mores. French Toast. Tiramisu.

I know it’s hotter than hell this week but we’re basically, we’re leaning very hard into fall.

☕️ Coffee is a big part of the Baked Lab story.

When we were getting ready to open, we knew we wanted to bring a new coffee roaster to the neighborhood—and we found the perfect partner in Nordskov Coffee.

Nordskov has been with us from the beginning, helping us build a coffee program that feels right at home alongside all the things coming out of our ovens. Intentional. Precise. And absolutely delicious.

After 9 years, Shawn’s parents are finally coming back to Madison. And for the very first time ever, they’re coming to visit Baked Lab.
So obviously… we’re throwing a party.

There will be Boston-inspired treats, our new September menu, and, if we’re lucky, a few mildly embarrassing stories about Shawn.

Yes, they’re very proud.
Yes, they might have wicked accents.

What an incredible Saturday at the shop. 🥹 Y’all showed up and sold us out of the case way quicker than we ever anticipated. Thank you, thank you, thank you. ❤️

We’ll be back in the kitchen baking up even more for you this week.

And in between all that baking, we got to make this wild, whimsical cake with flowers from LILY FOREST DESIGNS (amongst a bunch of others). ✨🎂 A pretty perfect Saturday, if you ask us.

August is flying by! I can’t believe it’s past the midway point already!🍍💨

One of our cake specials this month is this sweet Pineapple Upside Down Cake — and it’s every bit as good as it sounds. Roasted pineapple, bourbon brown sugar caramel, and caramelized macadamia nuts, all tucked into a tender, buttery cake.

A little tropical, a little midwestern , a LOT of delicious. 🌴✨

What a weekend. 🥹 One of our best in a while!! Thank you for showing up, shopping small, eating lots of baked things, and making this little bakery feel so full of life.

And apparently, you all have some serious feelings about these Sweet Onion Brioche Buns. 🧅✨ They were a HUGE hit.

Good news: they’re sticking around all month. Come get one (or two…we’re not judging)!
