Take Two Bakery Because one just isn’t enough! Hound It Down Bakery provides custom, homemade, small batch baked goods. It's run by Yvette Mikhail.

She enjoys tweaking and testing recipes scientifically until she reaches the best version (for her) that she can of each item. So if there's something a person wants and she doesn't already make it, please contact her as she's always looking to try to come up with something new! The story behind the bakery name is that Yvette has always loved Basset Hounds. She had a dog that was part Basset Hound

as a child, and ever since then she has wanted one! Her husband Andrew and her adopted their first Basset named Maisy in 2013. They are self-proclaimed Basset enthusiasts!

Marquette Waterfront Festival is this coming weekend, and I’ll be there both Saturday and Sunday (6/13-6/14)! Look for me in the Vendor Village right next to the playground! (See map at the end of the video.) I’ll have cake pops, stuffed cookies, and more!

Take Two Bakery has been nominated for Best of Madison again this year! Which means I was chosen as one of the top 6 bakeries in the Madison area! Voting doesn’t open until June, but I was too excited to wait that long to let people know! I’ll post again as it gets closer to June to remind people. In the meantime though, please enjoy a video of me decorating cake pops using the drill method!

I made these Wizard of Oz themed cake pops a few months back as a donation for Sun Prairie Civic Theatre when they were performing that show. I’m using the drill method to do the decorating!

I can’t believe it’s already farmers market season!!! I wanted to let you all know that I will NOT be downtown during the Dane County Farmers Market on Saturdays this year. Instead I’ll be doing most Saturdays at the Hilldale Farmers Market, and like last year, I plan to do Wednesdays at Hilldale in June-August. And of course I’ll be at Northside Farmers Market on Sundays for the whole season! Everything kicks off the first weekend in May…Saturday May 2nd at Hilldale and Sunday May 3rd at Northside! Hope to see you soon!

We’re happy to welcome Take Two Bakery as one of our Sprout Spring Market vendors!

Get to know the business: I provide delicious, fairly small batch, homemade baked goods, including a variety of cookies, bars, cake pops, scones, cinnamon knots, and more. My best sellers are my stuffed cookies. You can find me at multiple farmers markets, local events/craft fairs, and music festivals. I also do private orders, and can accommodate larger custom orders for events.
