June was another busy month, thank you Lord!!😆 it truly is wedding season and can't for graduation season.
At the beginning of June, I had the opportunity to make the biggest cake yet to date for my home bakery. It was a 3 tier wedding cake (picture below). Each tier had 3 layers of cake and 2 layers of filling. The cake was my eggless chocolate cake. The filling was dark chocolate ganache with fresh raspberries. Decorated in gold/white crystal sprinkles with white pearl sprinkles. Outside is vanilla buttercream dyed ivory. The cake in the end weighed between 40-50lbs😆 With the help of my mom, we delivered it to Silverwood Park up in the Minneapolis area
2 weeks later, I made another wedding cake and a cake for my coworker's boyfriend. This time it was for a classmate of mine from my culinary class (2022-2023). With her husband being a chocolate lover, the cake and filling were both chocolate. My eggless chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache filling. I delivered it solo this time. Not missing the opportunity to say hi to a former classmate turned friend of mine😄 The cake was a 2 tier cake with each tier having 2 layers of cake and 1 layer of filling. On the same day, before delivering the wedding cake, I made and delivered a cake for my coworker. She asked me to make a fun spiderman cake for her boyfriend
Lastly, at the end June, I got to make cookies for my younger sister's high school graduation party😆 I asked my birthmom if I could make Kennedy (my sister) a dessert for her party. She opted for cookies. So, I made her favorite plus 2 more types. Her favorite being my chocolate crinkle cookies. I feel so honored to be her older sister🥰 internally, I'm crying. I was able to see her walk across the stage to recieve her high school diploma. Can't wait to see her enter college😆
