Long story...
I found baking after the loss of my Mother, our beloved Lulu. Baking soothed my soul, it helped me feel closer to her. It became a newfound passion for me. I had in-house taste testers. I was a self proclaimed baker in- training. See, cooking was easy for me but baking was not something I did or had to do, because my Mom would. Her career was in food service. She worked in nutrition services at a local hospital for 38 plus years. When at her place, she always cooked. When we wanted cakes, cookies or pies she baked them.
It's been eleven years, since she's been gone.
It's been just over two years since my husband passed. I've lost my passion to bake.
I still enjoy baked goods and always thinking about baking something.
Maybe, it'll come back or not.
However, the rest of 2025, I will not force it.
I will not chase it. If the powers that be brings it back to me and the desire rise up, just maybe I'll put on the apron.
If you've read this far, just know it's definitely not good bye. Just know I'm patiently waiting for my soul and spirit to move me.
