Hi friends….

While some people want to blast the city and be nothing but negative about the infrastructure project that has started, as a business owner please understand that we NEED this. Our septic system in all of downtown, is trash. Basements flood regularly and I personally can’t wait for our building to be done.

While it’s annoying and disruptive, imagine how much more disruptive it would be if each building owner had to do this on their own time and not coordinated.

Also, imagine what it would have been like if we had gotten it done years ago before SOMEONE stopped the process, causing us to lose funding options and spend even more with inflation.

Instead of being negative, let’s utilize the off Main Street parking options, and support the local businesses who are directly in the path of the construction zones. The sidewalks are still open, and let’s be honest…. Most people didn’t park in those spots anyway, tenants and business owners did. A couple blocks walking should not hinder our love for local shopping!

Support small business, stay positive and remember how important this is, how much the city has done to try to get this done and listen to everyone, and how much every business downtown has offered the community in the years of business. They deserve your support now more than ever!
