We have heard from two more couples - one cannot come and the other can. Unfortunately, we are canceling the 2015 Aucoin Reunion. If people are interested in having it next year, please let us know. We are also opened to ideas as to how to make it fun and interesting.

On June 12th, we posted a notice about the 2015 Aucoin Family Reunion that is scheduled to be held on August 8th in an attempt to find out who was planning on coming. The only people who responded to that message that is now over three weeks old was Edmond and Stella - who aren't able to make it. At this point, we are leaning towards canceling the event due to lack of interest and rescheduling for next year. Please let us know if there is anyone who would still come if it were held. If we do not hear from you either way by July 10th, the event will be canceled.

Just checking in with everyone. The 2015 Aucoin Reunion is scheduled to take place on Saturday August 8th. During recent contact with some family members, it became clear that some have forgotten about the date and others have scheduling conflicts. Part of the problem might be that the event was not publicized well enough and no reminders were sent through this site during this past year. We take full responsibility for that. In the past, members have indicated that they wanted an annual reunion. On a good day, we are a relatively small group. It would be good to know who is planning to come this year. We are still willing to host the event. However, if there is a lack of interest or competition for that date is too great for some people, we may need to regroup for next year. We would like to continue this annual tradition. Please let us know who is planning to come. Thanks!

Well, the Aucoin Family Reunion 2014 is now history! We had a great time and hope all who were present did as well. Thanks to all who brought the scrumptious food and shared their musical talent. We celebrated a milestone (Ed's Birthday) and recounted tales of adventure (glad you made it safe and sound - Aimee, Jennifer and Lisa). We had more representatives of "younger" generations this year which was fantastic! For those who couldn't make it, we missed you. But, you'll have another chance! The consensus of those present yesterday was that we should plan to have another Aucoin Reunion in 2015. The Olsons would gladly host the event again next year. The proposed date would be Saturday, August 8th, 2015. Save the date!

Just an FYI: We're planning to have steak tips, chicken breasts in a mushroom sauce, grilled veggies and some mini pastries as starters for the reunion. As usual, we will also supply a few different kinds of sodas and an assortment of beers. We are asking that attendees bring a dish to pass (appetizer, side dish, dessert etc.).Looking forward to seeing everyone! Don't forget to bring musical instruments as well. If you have not RSVP'd in the past ( a number of you have) to say that you are coming, please let us know as it helps us to plan for the amount of food we need.

The Reunion is just about a month away! We have received RSVP's from some people. We could use a response from all those invited - yes or no - so that we can plan for the quantity of the main dish we will provide. Looking forward to seeing you all!

For those of you who might not have seen the post on my personal timeline: The 2014 Aucoin Family Reunion is fast approaching! We are really looking forward to hosting the event once again. We are also hoping that all of you will be there! This will be a pot luck event as it has been in the past. We (Tony and I) will supply a couple of main dishes for the festivities, so we would like to get as accurate a number as possible of who will be attending. If anyone has any ideas for activities for the day, we are open to suggestions. For those of you who have replied that you are coming, it would be good if you could reconfirm your response. Looking forward to seeing you all!

We are also looking for ideas from people as to what would make the reunion fun and interesting for them . Catching up on what each other is doing and playing music is great. Some people have asked about having someone do a short presentation about the Aucoin family history. Some of us may know more about that than others. What do people think about that? Do you have any other ideas about what else we could do? Let's start planning now---August 2014 will be here before you know it!

We have started to received responses for the upcoming reunion in 2014. We have 11 people who are coming as of this early date. It's a good start! Let's make the turnout at this reunion the best ever! We would love to have representation from the various generations. Ask your family members to "like" the Aucoin Family page and respond to the invite.

The Aucoin Reunion 2013 is now history. We had a great time! The weather was absolutely gorgeous. The stories, laughter, music and great food made for a memorable day. Many thanks to Aimee and Donny for the buttons and poster board presentation. A nice touch! Those present voted unanimously to have a reunion in 2014 and August 9th was established as the date. So, mark your calendars now! A more formal invite will be sent out very soon. Thanks to all!
