An early rise this week 🍞

Bread lands at The Store at Shelterbelt Farm (200 Creamery Road, Brooktondale) on Thursday, 10/1, around 10am instead of Saturday. The baker is heading back to college for Parents Weekend, driving to Connecticut with a tin of cookies for my son and his roommates (late-night study fuel) and hoping to catch a hockey game with him.

It's a short menu this week: organic country loaves and brown butter dark chocolate chunk cookies. When it's gone, it's gone, so come early.

Heads up: there's no Hotplate pickup on 10/7. Pre-orders reopen Friday, 10/9 for Wednesday, 10/14 pickup.

Hi neighbors! A quick schedule change this week: fresh bread is coming to The Store at Shelterbelt Farm (200 Creamery Road, Brooktondale) on Thursday, 10/1, around 10am instead of Saturday.

Big news from the kitchen: Bernside Bakery finally has a real website! 🍞

You can now see the full lineup, find out exactly where and when to grab a loaf, and get the story behind how the bread gets made, starter and all. Country loaf, rugbrød, cookies, and the occasional baguette are all there, with bagels coming soon out of the test kitchen.

Fresh bread is heading to Danby this Saturday! 🍞

Bernside Bakery will be at the Danby Food & Drink Farmers Market this Saturday, September 12th from 4-7pm, with fresh, organic, naturally leavened sourdough made from locally grown and milled flour.
