Located in downtown Iowa City, Kitty Corner Social Club is Iowa City's first cat lounge - where humans can relax, unwind, and connect with cat residents available for adoption in partnership with local humane societies + cat rescues. The Kitty Corner Social Club, located in downtown Iowa City, is a unique downtown destination where humans can relax, unwind, and connect with cats available for adop

tion from the Iowa City Animal Care And Adoption Center. Opening in early 2025, Kitty Corner Social Club will be a safe haven for both humans and felines, promoting mental well-being, and supporting animal adoption. How it works:

Kitty Corner Social Club feline "employees" will live in the beautiful, cozy space full time until finding their forever homes. Adoptions will be processed through the Iowa City Animal Care And Adoption Center. Everyone is welcome to come in for pets, boops, snuggles, and to play - regardless of whether you're in the market to adopt or not. Visitors pay a fee to enter the space, choosing time increments of 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Online reservations will be accepted, along with reserved time slots for walk ins. We will limit visitors to 12 at a time, ensuring everyone has a pleasant visit. Yes, we can host your private events, business outings, and birthday parties. (And we are ready to!)

Want merch? We will have oodles of second hand, KCSC branded merchandise, along with some new treasure to commemorate your love of cats + visits to our cozy spot downtown. Why are we including second hand merchandise? Because we believe in second changes. Nine lives. And keeping unnecessary things out of the landfill. A gentle way of existing is the cat's way, after all. Grab a cup of coffee, a froyo at Yotopia, or a Molly's cupcake from nearby establishments before you come in, we welcome you as you are. This group is a strong-willed bunch of survivors with endless love to give. Inspired warmth, resilience, and heart for community, Kitty Corner Social Club celebrates every cat with kindness, connection, and a place to belong. (And humans too.)

Be good to one another. And come see us. You’re going to love this little group of songbirds!

We also have holdovers from last week, but they are more of our wallflower group. If you visit, be sure to ask our team to pull them out of their comfort zones to say a quiet hello. We are giving them time and space to grow confidence.
