Where the magic happens...
A small kitchen corner, decorated in figurines, black and white tile, a plain ole counter and near by sink covered in piping bags, just the right icing colors and some music in the background...
This grad cake is very special to me, as it's not only filled with wonderful flavors but memories of mine and the memories for the graduate... A milestone marker.
It's been a hot minute since high-school for me but when a school chum and all around great person asks for a cake for their son's, graduation, I said absolutely yes, I'm there.
The request was for a woodsy theme with buttercream pinecones, leaves and pine branches amongst a cake grad cap with chocolate top along with a huge congratulations.
Bottom tier is almond cake with coconut filling and almond icing
Middle tier is fresh strawberry cake with chocolate fudge filling
Top tier (the cap) is vanilla bean with pineapple and homemade mango curd.
Congratulations Wyatt, may all your aspirations come true....
