Who doesn't love florals, everyone has their favorite.

This cake is no exception,and Morning Glories is the theme.

This particular flower didn't lend itself well for piping or palette knife as in my opinion just falls short, so I opted for hand painting them.

Big shout out to the birthday girl, hope she loves it.

In honor of his special day, I made him a "Ghost" cake, complete with old cathedral stained glass windows which represent different aspects of his favorite band

All images are hand painted and hand piped

Today's wedding @ Railside Golf Club/Alder and Iron Restaurant in Byron Center was a gorgeous event just in time for the sun to peek out and join the festivities.

As I was bringing in the cake the bride and I got to greet in passing so she could see the sweet vision come to life.
I hope the happy couple loved their cake.

Happy Derby Day Everyone!!!

This year's derby day request was for one of those elegant lady's hats! How fun!

I didn't want to just make a hat laying flat on a cake board, that would be so boring so I decided to put it on its own cake pedestal. This cake is set up similar to a tiered cake with supports and has hand piped texture along with handpiped applique roses and bow.
Cake is vanilla bean with raspberry filling along with fresh raspberries in the center.

My original pick for the win was "Further Ado " but one of the horses scratched putting him in the 17th position and we all know nothing has won in that position for ages so now my picks are "Incredibolt" and "So Happy"

Today's wedding, wow is all I can say, as that's one heck of a party about to go down. The flowers, the linens, the candles, the dinnerware, and of course the cake, or should I say cakes?

Yes, you heard right!
Here we have an almost 3ft cake with a double barrel 10" vanilla, a double barrel 8" chocolate and a 4 layer 6" marble. If that were not enough, each of the 14 tables had their own mini cake decorated to match the main cake . 😲
