I’ve been decorating cookies for a little over two years now, and I’ve learned so much along the way. I learned from watching videos.

This is the first time I’ve ever made a flower like this, and honestly, the only reason I hadn’t tried it sooner was fear. I was so worried it wouldn’t turn out the way I wanted. But when a customer requested it, it was time to stop overthinking and start learning. I had to give it a try!

For my first attempt, I’m pretty proud of it. The more flowers I piped, the more comfortable and confident I became. Are they perfect? Absolutely not—but then again, what flower really is?

If you’ve been following my cookie journey, you know I’m not one to gatekeep. I learned this flower technique by watching a tutorial from Belladonna Cookies, and I highly recommend checking her out if you haven’t already. There’s so much to learn from her!

Looking ahead, I hope to share more, answer more questions, and create better tutorials. I’m not a content creator by trade, so bear with me as I figure it all out. I’m a wife, a mom of four amazing kiddos, a nurse, and a cookier—but I promise, I’ll find the time.

I love that you can make rainbows with whatever colors you want!

Helpful tip: poke holes when layering icing and use a slightly thicker consistency to prevent craters.

Helpful tip! You do not need to purchase every gel coloring shade.

Please use what you have and try to make the color you want. Here are the colors I used to achieve my pastel pink, blue, and yellow!

I have never had a love hate relationship with a cookie before. But this one almost took me out!

Would I do this design again? Probably, yes. Will I consider printing it? Absolutely!

I’m so happy my letter puff stayed so pretty after it dried. A win is a win!
