Thick shampoo? Yup, thatā€™s outline consistency and I donā€™t like it šŸ˜…. I use piping consistency to outline.

08/12/2026

If youā€™re having trouble piping words neatly on your cookies, itā€™s likely because youā€™re using the wrong consistency.

To achieve the desired piping consistency, add a small amount of water to stiff icing or powdered sugar to looser icing until the icing resembles soft toothpaste.

Piping consistency is ideal for writing, lines, and flowers!

Stiff icing consistency is your best friend for small flowers, ruffles, bows & fine details.

These are things that need to hold a specific shape.

Crisp. Defined. No melting šŸ«
