Cheesecake Community! 💜💖
After seeing some of the comments going back and forth online, I decided to pick up the phone and call the owner of Purple Mountain Cheesecake! We had never met or even talked before, but I just felt like now was the perfect time!
Basically, I said, “Hey! We both have some pretty amazing people who love us so much… but I don’t think either of us wants that love to turn into hurtful things being said about the other. 😭💔 Would it be crazy if I came down, we met & chatted, and we could show everyone that we don’t hate eachother 🫣”
And he was immediately on board! Glen was so happy I called, he totally felt the same way, and I was so excited to meet him and his sons! it just made my heart happy to know that this small business community really does love and support eachother!
Purple Mountain has been part of this community for almost 20 years, and that is something to be proud of! I know how much heart goes into building a business. The long days, the sacrifices, the worrying, and the love you put into everything you send out the door… we both understand that so well.
And we both understand how lucky we are to have people who care enough to show up for us the way you do. Please know how thankful I am for that. You have carried Icing For Izaac through so much, and I will never take your support for granted.
But I also never want someone else’s hard work to be talked poorly about in support of mine. And he feels the same way. There are real people and families behind both of these businesses, doing our best every day. Neither one of us could individually service ALL of the cheesecake lovers here in Fort Wayne!
I guess I am just feeling so grateful our community brought us together today! We got to meet, talk, laugh, share ideas, and take this picture together. Two local business owners who make cheesecake, love what we do, and only want the best for each other.
So please… Go grab a slice from them. Come grab a slice from us. Tell your friends about the things you love. There is so much good we can do for each other when we put our energy into that. 💖
