Hello everyone! It’s been a little over a year since I last posted, so bear with me. A lot has happened since then. My husband, Corbin graduated from seminary in May. We sold our beautiful 2 acre home in Indiana in June, which was so hard for us. We had big dreams there but God had other plans for us! Our son, Solomon, entered into the world July 2nd. Two weeks later, we packed all of our stuff and moved across the country to Prescott Valley, Arizona. We lived in a beautiful one bedroom small cabin in the woods for two months while we searched for a home. By the grace of God, we found a wonderful home in a neighborhood within our price range and near some of our good friends from the church, moved in October. Corbin became an elder at and the church was planted in January. He entered seminary at Forge in February to get his Masters. He is now a teaching pastor candidate for and will be for the next year or so.
Moving here has been one of the greatest and hardest thing for us. It’s hard to describe but we are so thankful to be here and we see God’s glory. Friendship are being rooted and blossoming. Our children are thriving. The church is growing. The weather and location is beautiful.
Needless to say, I do miss the homestead. But you know what? This year I’ve learned that you can homestead in a neighborhood, just have to do it in a different, creative way. Homesteading does not mean you have to have land and animals. I will be posting weekly, sharing my gardening in my little backyard, recipes from snacks to dinner to sourdough, canning, homeschooling, natural remedies, etc. I’m so excited to share and learn along the way. Thank you for your love and support!
