So welcome back to our little coffee corner — where we share what we’re brewing, what we’re loving, and a few things you might not know about the coffee in your cup.

☕ This Month’s Coffee Corner: Light Roast vs. Dark Roast

One of the most common coffee questions:

"What’s the difference between light and dark roast?"

While darker roasts are roasted longer — creating deeper, bolder flavors — light roasts tend to highlight more of the coffee’s original character and origin.

Neither is “better.” It just depends what kind of cup you’re after.

🌙 What We’re Brewing Right Now

Dark Roast
Our dark roast is a Nicaraguan coffee — rich, comforting, and perfect if you like a fuller-bodied cup with deeper roast character.

Light Roast: La Bastilla
Our rotating light roast is currently La Bastilla, a light roast, single origin, Nicaraguan.

Single origins are fun because they let one coffee speak for itself — showcasing the character of a specific farm or region rather than a blend.

La Bastilla brings a lighter, brighter experience to the cup and is a great reminder that coffee can be complex, delicate, and incredibly interesting.

🧊 And Yes… We Think About Iced Coffee Too

As the weather warms up, our iced coffee deserves a little spotlight.

We brew it using a medium roast Peruvian coffee — balanced, smooth, and refreshing whether you take it black or dressed up with your favorite flavors.

Because good coffee shouldn’t have a season.

✨ Coffee Tip of the Month

Coffee tasting different at home than it does in the shop? Fresh grinding makes a bigger difference than most people think. Even a simple grinder upgrade can completely change your morning cup.
