Dear Fort Collins friends,
There has been a significant shift in the Fort Collins marketplace, and we have made the decision to close our current storefront. Small businesses face many challenges, and we are no different. Rising rent, dealing with unsafe conditions in the shopping center, staffing issues, slower foot traffic and the influx of home cottage bakers has pushed us to this decision. Our profits come from our custom work, specialty cakes, cookies, cake pops etc. We had our regular customers who we saw each week for their favorite strudel, muffin or cupcake, but sadly not enough revenue was generated from the storefront pastry cases to justify keeping it open.
We are currently looking for a small storefront space or to share space with another business, so please pass this along to anyone you may know with a space or complimentary business who might also be looking for a “business roommate”.
We will continue to service our loyal customers in Fort Collins from our Estes Park location on an order only basis and will coordinate delivery or meeting for pickup over the summer until we find a suitable location here. TO BE CLEAR - Reiterating that WE ARE STILL OPEN FOR ORDERS WHICH WILL BE MADE IN OUR ESTES PARK LOCATION AND BROUGHT TO FORT COLLINS - we will arrange pickup or delivery until we find a small storefront there.
Thank you to all of you who have expressed concern at the storefront closing - but rest assured I am doing great in Estes Park, this is purely letting go of an underperforming location and waiting to find the right space to have a storefront again.
