I love visiting local bakeries when we vacation. We hit two amazing bakeries this trip - the first in Lake City (Lake City Bakery) which is in its 39th season, and then this one in Palisade, Slice of Life Bakery, who has been open for 47 years and the owner is still in back making hundreds of loaves of breads, pastries, etc. This quote on her wall by her is exactly why I bake - food is my love language. No matter our differences, food is still one of the few things that still connects us to each other and to happiness ❤️
