After a long summer away, Dough Birds is finally heading back to the farmers markets this weekend!

It’s our first market weekend since June, and we’re coming back with gusto: TWO markets!

The waffle wait is over!

For the first time since June, Original and Chocolate Stuffed Liège waffles are available - and we’re delivering this weekend!

If your freezer’s waffle stash is long gone, this is your chance to stock up. Our buttery, made-from-scratch waffles are back for busy mornings, weekend breakfasts, and those chocolate cravings you’ve been patiently waiting to satisfy.

We’re also working on our September farmers market return and will share dates and locations as they’re confirmed.

Dough Birds Flavor Development is temporarily out of service.

My ankle surgery was a success, but this boot means new waffle flavors are on hold for a bit.

The good news? We still have Original Liège Waffles available for delivery.

The rain has packed up and moved on. The waffles have not.

We’ll be at the New Melle Farmers Market this morning alongside 10 other fantastic local vendors, and it looks like Mother Nature has finally decided to cooperate.

If you’ve been meaning to stock up on Original, Chocolate Stuffed, or Cinnamon, today is the day. After today’s market, Dough Birds will be going into a brief laboratory shutdown while our Chief Waffle Scientist gets his ankle repaired.

We’ll be away from the markets for a couple of months, so fill the freezer now and future-you will be extremely grateful when a Liege waffle emergency strikes in July.

Come see us, support local vendors, and leave with waffles.

This Saturday is your last chance to catch Dough Birds at a farmers market for a while.

I’m having foot surgery next week, which means the waffle laboratory will be shutting down market operations for about two months while the chief waffle engineer undergoes repairs.

I’m volunteering at the Spirit of St. Louis Airshow and STEM Expo this weekend, but we will have waffles again on the 13th. Be sure to stock up, we will not be at any Farmers Market till the middle of August.

If you’ve ever wondered what separates a small family bakery from a giant corporation, it’s this:

A giant corporation loses a machine and opens a maintenance ticket.

Dough Birds loses a waffle iron and immediately starts negotiating with the remaining two.

Despite being outnumbered, our hardworking waffle irons are pushing through a mountain of dough so we can have Cinnamon Stuffed waffles ready tomorrow evening, just in time for Saturday’s New Melle Farmers Market

The Dough Birds waffle laboratory may be taking the weekend off from market adventures, but the delivery birds are still in the air.

We’ve got a delicious stockpile of Chocolate Stuffed Liège waffles ready for delivery and eager to escape the freezer. Crispy caramelized edges, rich chocolate centers, and absolutely zero patience.

And mark your calendars because we’ll be back at the New Melle Farmers Market on May 30th with a fresh lineup of Original, Chocolate Stuffed, and Cinnamon waffles ready for takeoff.

This Saturday, Dough Birds is heading to the New Melle Farmers Market for our first farmers market of the season, and we’re bringing the classics:

Chocolate Stuffed Liège Waffles

Made with real butter, Belgian pearl sugar, and the kind of recipe testing that makes nearby kitchens nervous.

Stock the freezer, grab breakfast for the weekend, or eat one in the parking lot while pretending it was “for later.” We won't judge.
