Some things just hit different.
My niece asked if I would make cinnamon rolls for her class for the end of the school year, and there wasn’t even a second of hesitation. Because this right here… this is why I do what I do.
Yesterday I received this thank you card from her teacher and classmates, and I got teary eyed reading the part about how the cinnamon rolls “brought smiles to everyone’s faces” and how proud my niece is of me.
That means more to me than I can explain.
I love baking. I love creating things that feel warm, comforting, and special. But knowing something as simple as a homemade cinnamon roll could make kids smile, make a classroom feel celebrated, and make my niece proud to share what I do… that’s the kind of thing that stays with you.
If I can bring even a little joy to someone’s day with a warm cinnamon roll, then I know I’m doing something good. And I truly believe I’m right where God intended me to be.
Thank you, Mrs. Whitley, Maddie, and class, for such a thoughtful card. I’ll treasure this forever. 🤍
