I have some exciting news! After talking with another small business today, I have gained some more knowledge and understanding about certain things that help a business be more successful. I am extremely thankful for the things I’ve learned.

It saddens me to be writing this post. I am feeling extremely discouraged this morning. Unfortunately, after my long break from the business for my own mental health and tending to my family, the support just hasn’t been the same. Some have started unfollowing my page due to me having to tag everyone in posts just for people to stay updated. The engagement has fallen off, the pre-orders have slowed down, there are 2 handfuls of new bakers in the community. I know several things play a part in having a small business. I know that support fluctuates. I have been so supportive of other bakers and small businesses in our community and I will continue to encourage the support. It’s okay to support more than one business that produces similar produces. I have been blessed to be in business for almost 2 years. I’ve been booked for 3 weddings this year which is a HUGE accomplishment. I have been extremely successful in this time. I will forever be grateful for that. I’m not sure what the future will hold for “The Little Black Box” , but I’m going to continue to push myself to do as much as I can. I’m giving myself a deadline, after that dead line, I will only go to personal orders and posting FCFS. If I am still not successful that way, I will only take personal orders as requested.
I appreciate each and everyone of you. I will keep pushing through this time. I have not given up yet. 🫡🖤
