Have you guys heard of The Illinois Artisan Market? If not, stop for a sec to find out about this gem! The Illinois Department of Agriculture hosts several farmers markets and events throughout the year and they have been kind enough to invite us to sell in the ag tent at the Illinois State Fair this Year!

There is going to be a wide variety of vendors including Glaciers End Jellies, Uncle Joe's Sauce's , Fire Dept. Coffee and so much more!

Be sure to make a stop by the Illinois Department of Agriculture Tent at Main Street and Central Avenue for the 4th Annual Illinois Product Artisan Market, next to the high dive.

We have an exciting opportunity for a seasonal job this season at the The Great Pumpkin Patch-Arthur, IL !

We’ve been invited to sell on weekends throughout their season and are so excited to be apart of such an iconic Fall staple!

The dates are as follows:

September 21-22
September 28-29
October 5-6
October 11-14
October 19-20
October 26-27

We understand if you can’t help all of these dates and would still love for you to be apart of this! The shifts will run from 830 am- 230pm and 12pm to 6pm.

Mowry Baking and Candy Company history

It has been quite a journey for Mowry Baking and Candy Company. We started out in my home as a small by order only bakery. We quickly outgrew our location and we moved to downtown Decatur. We loved our new location and our success was unbelievable. I had a really great team and we grew so fast I needed at least 4 more employees right away to keep up with the demand we had generated moving to downtown area. I looked for about 6 months for reliable people and I just did not feel I was making any progress. We were working about 75 hours a week each and it was getting to be overwhelming so the decision was made to close the bakery. My girls went on to other endeavors but I still wanted to bake so I opened the bakery at my home again and I have loved every minute of it. Sometimes my Mom comes out and helps me but for the most part I work alone. I want to thank all my loyal customers who have been with me for many years. I started baking when I was 12 years old and I am still at it 50 years later. You are giving me the opportunity to live my dream and I feel very blessed.
