Thank you all for the kind words and patience as this unpredictable journey of grief and change continues.

In an effort to streamline and clear our space so it’s in prime operating condition, we have gotten ruthless with our equipment and my (Alixe’s) overbuy is your gain! This is an accumulation of 17 years of bakery tried and usable items, easily $1000+ in value.

We have 30+ pans, hundred+ cookie cutters, petal dusts, silicone molds, and spools of ribbon that need to find a home with new crafters and bakers. In an effort to not spend hours and days going through, the WHOLE lot is available at a very great price - or willing to break into categories. We cannot sit and dig through to find a single piece, so inquiries about singular specific items will not be answered.

Cookie cutters (metal, comfort cutters, sets, etc) : $50 SOLD

Petal dust box : $10 SOLD

Bags of ribbon spools : $10 *pending

Fondant/chocolate molds : $30 SOLD

In the midst of glitter floors and months of relocation and substitute ovens, the original dish washer, trash cake inspirer, and most importantly the original flour daddy has left us earthside. I, Alixe, ask a little more grace and patience than normal this week as I navigate owning a business and losing a parent and trying to make sense of which way is up. Orders will still go out, weddings will still happen, but email and phone responses will be delayed. In a time of so much digital everything, I need to be a human and most importantly my daddy’s little girl. He was such an insanely large help and fixture in this bakery life on top of my own (of course) and I am so heartbroken he won’t be physically here for this new chapter. I love you Daddy. I always want to make you proud.

646 union street saw us through engagements, marriages, pregnancies, births, deaths, and tens of thousands of pounds of buttercream - 17 years is a long time to turn the same lights on everyday. the flour child would not be what it is without this space, and I am forever grateful 💜

we continue to make some rocking progress on our new space! in light of the emotional and physical toll of moving… we are officially ON VACATION for the next two weeks (7/14-7/28).

A Day In the Life : last day of baking at 646 Union!! (June 28)

⭐️⭐️Remember we are closed for July⭐️⭐️ for our move, which has been sweaty but great and overwhelming … can’t wait to finish putting it all together to show you!

📧PLEASE BE AWARE email will not be received from 7/13 through 7/28 as we are officially on vacation after a big two weeks of moving 17 years worth of bakery to the new spot. Appreciate your patience in advance!!!

Just a few notes to alleviate any panic or urgent questions
💚 we are still in Columbia, but a private space - I (Alixe) have renovated my home’s lower level to be a pro kitchen devoted solely to the flour child
❤️ we will continue to do custom order only, no walk in shopping (just like the past 4 years)
💜 nothing has changed with currently placed orders or weddings, and you will receive updated pickup instruction the week of your order (wedding couples, legit nothing changes for you except for rental return location)
🥡trash cake is STILL ON THE eStore and even more likely to make appearances at makers markets and pop ups near you - the eStore will accept orders again beginning 8/5
