Like all small businesses, there's always lots of work to do, so I'll be open. If you choose to shop local tomorrow, at the bakery or anywhere, USE CASH!!

All card processors charge a percentage no matter the card type, and my average is over $300/month. Using cash 💵 prevents small businesses from giving gobs of money to corporations or passing that cost onto the consumer.

Me and these cheesecakes will be hanging at the bakery for awhile today. Maybe till noon 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'll update on the stories when the snow forces me out, but baking doesn't care about snow!

Getting married & have your heart set on a venue that requires using their vendors? You have a right to allergen-free food!!
More venues are jumping on board the accommodation train 🙏 and many just get it right -- like our friends at pictured here! 🙏🙏

When touring venues and talking menus, ask about allergy-free adaptation at the start, whether for you, family or friends. Usually quick & easy to find out their terms, how it applies to cake/meal/any food, how it can be accommodated and by whom, this can save you from surprises later on.
Staunch *no outside vendors* policies are less common. If needed, let them know you are requesting a reasonable accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act/ADA. Food disabilities deserve accessibility just like e'ryone else! Compromise is easy to find.

Personally, it's super awesome to be a part of weddings where you don't have to:
-contact the venue as a guest
-figure out how/when/where to eat prior or post
-carry in a cooler bag
-have hunger or be afraid to eat
-bug the newlyweds!
