🌟 This week’s menu is LIVE at www.doughxbatter.com for pickup at the first-ever Hispanic Heritage Festival, hosted by on Saturday, October 3 from 11am-2pm at 4838 Meadow Lark Ln, Columbia ! 🇵🇷🇲🇽

This is such a special event, and one I’m genuinely excited to be part of. It’s a chance to celebrate the beautiful cultures, traditions, food, and stories that members of our Hispanic community bring to Columbia. Everyone participating has a connection to a Hispanic country or culture, making this a wonderful opportunity to come together, learn something new, meet your neighbors, and experience a little bit of home, or discover something new. ❤️

I believe community grows when we make space for one another: when we share our traditions, stay curious about each other, and gather around the things that connect us. Events like this give us a chance to do exactly that, and I hope you’ll make it part of your Saturday.

A little about this week’s menu 🌺

You’ll notice that I’ve attributed the treats to Puerto Rico and Mexico, but some of these breads, pastries, and sweets have their own variations throughout Latin America and the broader Hispanic world.

So, why Puerto Rico and Mexico?

I’m Puerto Rican, so the Puerto Rican recipes are some of the treats I grew up eating and have a personal connection to. As for the Mexican-inspired selections, I am a huge fan of Mexico’s incredible variety of breads and pastries. There are so many wonderful flavors and traditions to explore, and ingredients like citrus, warm spices, and seasonal flavors felt especially fitting for this time of year.

• Pre-orders are open until Wednesday, 9/30 at 10 PM.
• Some items are exclusive to this event, so don’t miss them!
• And a quick apology: I know there have been some checkout issues with the last few menus. A system update was causing a glitch with my live listings, but it has now been fixed. 🙌

Idk if you have ever been to book/shop, etc. , but you must! It is a beautiful shop, ran by even more beautiful and amazing people and the selection is incredible! Make sure you plan to stop by, now or later, but just show up. It's businesses like these that make towns special, so let's make sure we keep them around 😉

I will be back with the Fall menu on September 19th , but here are a few updates for the upcoming season.

As you may have seen in my previous post, I’m restructuring, and there’s a lot happening behind the scenes that has meant scaling back and making a few changes.

But what hasn’t changed:

❤️ I love helping you try new things and stay curious about the world beyond this town, state, and country.
