Progress check-in from The Cottage Cakery! 🎂✨

The cakes are baked, filled, assembled, and crumb coated — which means we’re one step closer to the finished designs.

This stage may not look glamorous yet, but it’s one of the most important parts of the process. The crumb coat locks everything in, gives each cake a smooth foundation, and gets them ready for the final layer of buttercream, colors, details, and decorations.

Next up: making them pretty. 💕

Baking prep for the week is officially complete… now it’s time to decorate! 🎂✨

Most of our custom orders are picked up or delivered Thursday through Sunday, so the next couple of days are all about turning those baked layers, cupcakes, and treats into finished orders ready for your celebrations.

It may look quiet from the outside, but behind the scenes we’ll be hard at work with buttercream, fillings, piping bags, cake boxes, and lots of checklists. 💕

Wedding season is officially in full swing, and we’ve had the sweetest cakes heading out the door lately. 🤍🎂

From simple and elegant designs to custom details made just for each couple, it’s always such an honor to create something for one of the biggest days in someone’s life.

Graduation season is in full swing, and this order was such a fun one to create! 🎓✨

This sweet setup included **4 dozen cupcakes in assorted flavors** topped with black and silver buttercream, a little shimmer, and gold accents — plus a **6-inch, 2-layer cake decorated like a graduation cap** to complete the celebration.

Whether it’s high school, college, a master’s degree, or any big milestone, graduation treats are such a special way to celebrate all that hard work.

What’s in the case this week? Something new and extra delicious. 🧁✨

We have a brand-new cupcake flavor in the case: **Boston Cream Pie Cupcakes!**

This sweet idea came from my lovely employees — they had the idea, got creative, and brought it to life. And let me tell you… they did good. 🤎

It’s a vanilla cupcake filled with vanilla custard and topped with whipped chocolate ganache. Basically, Boston cream pie in cupcake form, and it’s just as dreamy as it sounds.

Their sacrifice is something we can never truly repay, but we can remember, reflect, and be grateful for the freedoms they helped protect.
