This was a great combination. The candied hawthorn berries were just the right sweet mixed with the spice cake. The cake was moist and delicious.

The sugar palm fruit is sweet and nutty. I don’t like the flavor initially, but I could see it growing on me. I was hoping it tasted more like a pear.

Louquats have a sweet taste. They remind me of a peach in texture. They don’t taste like a peach, it might closer to an apricot in flavor.
