Farmers market season is almost here and I'm happy to say that I'll be back at the Greendale Downtown Market this summer! The market starts 6/20 😊

Warm temps are here and our tomatoes finally went out into the garden! I've got a few extras as well as some other veggies/herbs if anyone wants to add anything to their garden. $3 each. Pickup near Lilly Rd and Capital Dr. All plants are listed in the comments. Everything I grow are varieties that I love and have in my own garden.

Extras for today, sorry for the delay! Here is what I've got for extras.

Honey Oat- $12 (sold out)
Jalapeno Cheddar- $12 (1 remaining)
Lemon Poppy Seed Scones- $10 for 3 (1 remaining)

I also got some plants! These are fully hardened off and can go in your garden. I'm in the process of hardening off tomatoes and some basil, should have some available within the next week.
-Celery $3
-Chives $5
-Lettuce $3 (I find this to withstand our summer heat better before getting bitter like other lettuces)
-Green Onions $3

Extra plain sourdough available if anyone is interested. I have a couple oval loaves still available.

I wanted to do an experiment this week. For those curious, I wanted to see how my dough would handle a little extra water and what would happen if I placed my peaked starter in the fridge and used it cold. I normally mix my starter up at night and wake up pretty early to start mixing dough. But I never sleep well the night before dough days.... I think I'm frequently worried my starter is going to peak and be ready when I'm not. My kitchen temps fluctuate quite a bit which can affect how fast/slow my starter rises. So I popped it in the fridge when it was close to peak and used it the next morning when I was ready. Overall the experiment worked out well 😀

Here is my schedule for May!

I'm taking advantage of this week and doing some recipe testing/relaxing with the family. I may possibly have some loaves available later this week. I want to test out a higher hydration dough in my mixer.
