Had some short bread cookies come out the oven a little too crispy, but then I threw some gooseberry jam and icing on them and called them nachos….

When my friend Kimberly texted me saying she was thinking about moving back home, of course my first thought was a party! I was like “if you can wait till the holidays we can do a final Christmas pop up together!!!” And I had decided without consulting her lol that all of my treats were going to be inspired by her work and it would be a Capital City Bakers Alliance bakery mashup. This is the cookie I designed, A Christmas sweater with her logo.

Life has a way of sometimes taking the reins and her move happened sooner than my heart was ready for.
And that’s ok, because in this late stage capitalist hell hole we are here to help eachother find peace and sometimes the call of home is the only call we answer.

Mid City Bakery was my VERY FIRST bakery friend online and in real life. And we’ve been rooting for eachother since the beginning, and that’s not going to stop now.
Kimberly Fansler I’m so proud of you and can’t wait to see what’s next!!!

Sweet Potato Cornbread Cookie… I’m still perfecting the aesthetic on that marshmallow char. But this cookie f@%king SLAMS.

I’ve been dreaming up this cookie for about 2 years, and having a laundry list of chores to avoid today really inspired me to experiment!
And it was so worth it.

This is a shortbread and gooseberry sandwich cookie.
I’ve been day dreaming a linzer cookie concept but I’m not crazy about the linzer cookie recipes I was finding. My momma LOVED a short bread cookie, so I started there.
And let me tell you, it was the right choice.
It may be a shock to you but I’m not a big cookie eater, I’m pretty particular. I ask ALOT of a cookie, and I could have sat down and eaten this whole dozen without hesitation.
