🍎 Apple Cinnamon Cake

Batter
110g melted butter
120g sugar
2 eggs
10g vanilla sugar
240g flour
8g baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
150ml yogurt or kefir

Apples
5–6 small apples
20g sugar
4g cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice

Cinnamon layer
60g brown sugar
5g cinnamon

How to make it:
Mix sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon & lemon juice.

Whisk butter with sugar, add eggs, vanilla and yogurt. Mix in the dry ingredients.

Layer ½ batter → cinnamon sugar → ½ apples, then repeat.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50–70 min, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Serve warm — vanilla ice cream highly recommended. 🍨🍂

We’re going around the world… and I’m starting with home. ❤️

The first destination of Flavors Around the World by ORO Sweets is officially here:

🌍 CENTRAL ASIA — A Journey Along the Silk Road!

I want to introduce you to Central Asia the way I know it best — through its flavors, hospitality, traditions and stories.

And because this is ORO, of course we’re going to create something delicious together. ✨

You’ll assemble and decorate your own Central Asia-inspired bento cake, guided step by step by me — and take your creation home to enjoy.

We’ll also gather around the table at Darvish Kitchen, where you’ll experience flavors inspired by the region and discover why a Persian restaurant is such a fitting place for our first journey. Darvish Kitchen DC

The connection between Central Asia and Persia runs deeper than many people realize… and that’s part of the story I can’t wait to share with you.

And there are still a few little details I’m keeping as a surprise!

What do Syrniki and a Central Asian table have in common? 👀

More than you might think. 🤔

Food doesn’t always follow borders. Recipes travel, cultures meet, traditions overlap and somehow, they find their way onto the same table.

These farmer’s cheese pancakes are familiar across Eastern Europe and many parts of Central Asia and for me, they’re also a little taste of home.

This is exactly what I want to explore with Flavors Around the World: not just what we eat, but how our food, history and cultures connect us. 🌍✨
