If you’re new here, or if you’ve been here since I was doing orders for donation, thank you. This little corner of instagram & my little townhome kitchen mean so much to me. The last four years of learning, decorating, drinking way too many Alanis, late night email replying, waiting by the window for pickups, & everything else in between has been so fun. If you don’t know me personally, I’ve worked in the finance field full time/part time for the last 6 years. I was given the opportunity to cut down on bank hours and pick up the pace on Sugarcoated and loved it. Last year, I started to realize my love for decorating and baking started feeling more like a job that I was becoming less inspired to do. I took a break, missed it so much, and came back in full swing. Last year was the best year I’ve had, so many freaking orders. Since then, I’ve been trying to find a balance. I love what I do so much and value getting to pipe little bows and ruffles onto cakes so much I don’t want to ruin that. I knew change was coming, but was afraid for what that meant for my craft I’ve created and spent so many days curating.

I have accepted a position in the banking world that I’ve been working towards ever since I was a teller. I know this sounds like Sugarcoated is over- please don’t stop reading here, it’s not! Things will just be changing a bit. Pickup times will now be Saturday & Sunday mornings, I will be taking on a bit less as I adjust, and maybe less holiday sales here and there. Please have some grace with me as email replies may take a bit longer & less last minute orders will be taken on. Please also reach out sooner rather than later so I can get you on my schedule as spots will fill up more quickly as well. Tears were shed over this, but I’m so excited to take a tiny step back, work on my professional career, and fall back in love with cake decorating. Thank you so much for being here, excited to continue making your events sweeter the rest of 2026. 🧁🎂❤️‍🩹
