My Loaves, I spent this afternoon shopping for the delicious ingredients for my beautiful Fish Pies. First stop City Green fruit and veg Lower Hutt. I didn’t get to the vege market on the weekend and I want to support local.

Next stop, my favourite fish monger in Wellington Wellington Sea Market I love talking to the team, selecting my fish, it has to be fresh. I use a minimum of three different types of fish as well as prawns.

Final stop Moore Wilsons the best service by far for trade shopping.

I’m starting work extra early tomorrow, to make these beautiful luxury pies. Smoked Salmon, Ling, Hoki and Prawns. Finely chopped onion, green peas, boiled eggs in a white sauce (no cheese) topped with mashed potato.

The same Fish Pie recipe my mother taught me so you know it’s packed with love and memories. Ready and hot out of the oven by 11am Thursday.

Buy local, support the incredible food businesses in the Hutt City and Wellington.

Kia Ora my Loaves, I’ve decided to open the bakery on Saturday and not the Newtown Market. The amazing Amelie our Market Server is working on a film project and the weather isn’t the greatest. I’m focusing my baking superpowers where it will be warm and dry.

I get a little lonely so please pop in to see me. We have fabulous coffee, wonderful hot baked goods and breakfast.

I’m even thinking about making French Toast. I can even set up a bar so you can sit down and relax as I fuss over you.

The best feeling in the world. Started my bakery shift at 10pm Friday night, set up market at 7am, served my gorgeous customers until 9am, hoping into bed at 10am.

My Rēwena loaves hot out of the oven and they all sold within the first 15 minutes.
