Greetings fair folk on a mizzly day! I'll be at the Shaugh Prior Village Hall Coffee Morning and Farmers Market tomorrow to cheer us all up after a wet week, with some lovely sourdoughs and also some muggle bread (yeast loaves, not sourdough). I'll also have the usual range of preserves and marmalades, as well as the first of the summer jams (alas I'm not allowed to sell the last of the summer wines!). Rhubarb, Rhubarb and ginger, and Strawberry and Rhubarb (with rhubarb, strawberries and wild strawberries from my Wotter garden). All my preserves are cooked with seasonal produce, in small batches as crops become available, as a result all are slightly different each time! Come and have a look to see what I have tomorrow!

I have 2 or 3 no shows for multiseed wholewheat sourdough loaves, if anyone in the Shaugh Parish locality would like one...

Hello again! Well it looks like some of you rather like a fresh loaf delivered on a Friday! I shall be baking sourdough again this week, multiseed light wholewheat; jalapeno and cheddar, and rustic rosemary. I'm happy to bake others if your favourite isn't listed, just let me know. AND!!!! It's a bank holiday weekend! I'll also be baking my favourite date and walnut Ramblejacks (very fancy flapjacks with added drizzles of dark chocolate and coconut), truly wonderful on a Dartmoor ramble, but also rather delicious shared with friends at home with a cuppa. If you have family or friends popping over, Chocolate Brownies also available, very more-ish (or moorish on a stroll?). Do let me know if you'd like anything pre-ordered, I'm happy to deliver locally in and around the Parish on Friday afternoon. 🙂

Hello lovely people, I have an order for sourdough this week and will be baking on Friday. If you'd also like a loaf or two please let me know by Thursday morning as that's when I start preparing dough, will bake on Friday and can deliver anywhere in the Parish. So far I'll be baking Cheese and jalapeño, multi seed light rye, and wholewheat and sunflower. Can also do a tray of foccaccia if you'd like that!

Unfortunately I won't be at the Shaugh Prior Village Hall Coffee morning and Farmers Market on Saturday (May 2nd), it clashes with other arrangements! However, I will have the first of summer jams next time I'm there, will keep you all posted!

Greetings on this rainy day! I shall be at the coffee morning farmers market at Shaugh Prior Village Hall tomorrow, with a section of sourdough loaves and other bakes (cinnamon buns, hot cross bun loaves, mini-egg cheesecake brownies, aoricot and walnut flapjacks), and of course lots of lovely marmalades! The season's Seville orange marmalade is all done now! 7 batches made from the end of Jan to early March! Traditional classic Seville orange; with ginger and a dash of rum; Seville orange with Blood orange, and another with quince (sooo fruity!), and with cranberries ginger snd rum (very festive, a great winter warmer to start the day!). I'll have a selection of all of these and other preserves as well as sourdough breads, cinnamon rolls and Hot Cross Bun loaves at Sunday's Sparkwell Farmers Market. See you there!
