From a wedding fair to a wedding cake filled with their story…

I first met Megan and Ben at a wedding fair in Plymouth in 2025, where Megan loved my cakes so much she wanted to book me there and then!

During their consultation, I discovered their shared love of geology and fossils, along with their much-loved cat. They wanted a cake that felt personal and truly reflected them.

From the front, the cake had a classic, elegant wedding design. But as it turned on its stand, a hidden world of fossils, geological details and a tribute to their cat was revealed.

The day after their wedding, Megan sent me the loveliest message:

“The cake was sensational and we were speechless when we saw it. We are so grateful for your kindness.”

It was such a pleasure creating something so personal for Megan and Ben. Their cake was more than a centrepiece — it told a little of their story. congratulations to you both 🩷

Let me tell you a story
I met up With Martina and her family to talk through her dream wedding cake, she knew exactly what she wanted: big, beautiful and unforgettable. 🤍

Her vision was a grand white wedding cake with elegant tiers, gold pillars, delicate cherubs and illuminated details that would make the whole cake glow.

This wasn’t going to be a cake that quietly blended into the background. Martina wanted a true statement piece — something that reflected the scale and beauty of her wedding day.

Bringing her vision to life meant carefully planning every detail. The structure had to be designed to support the many tiers, while the pillars, lighting and decorative elements all needed to work together perfectly.

There was plenty of measuring, preparation and behind-the-scenes planning, which included a step ladder 🪜 I also worked closely with the venue to make sure the cake could be delivered in good time and set up safely, ready to take centre stage on the day.

Martina’s dream cake had become a reality — a grand, elegant centrepiece created especially for her and her new husband to celebrate their marriage.

Every couple has their own ideas and dreams for their wedding cake, and I love helping turn those ideas into something personal, meaningful and truly memorable.

Martina’s cake was certainly one of the biggest I’ve ever made, but more importantly, it was the perfect cake for her special day. 🤍✨

✨ It’s all in the detail ✨

Something as simple as the raspberries on a cake can make all the difference.

These aren’t simply placed on top and left to chance. Each raspberry is carefully hand-glazed, one by one, to give them that beautiful finish and make sure they look just right when they reach the cake.

And that’s true of so much of what I create.

From hand-finishing delicate details and individually made sugar decorations, to carefully considering the balance, texture and placement of every element — a lot of care goes into the things you may not notice at first glance.

Because when you’re choosing a cake for your wedding or a really special celebration, it’s those final details that bring everything together.

I believe your cake should feel beautifully considered, personal and made especially for you — not just something that looks good from a distance.

So, if you’re someone who notices the little things, appreciates craftsmanship and wants a cake where care has gone into every detail, I think we might be a very good match. 🤍

When Claire first sent over her ideas for their wedding cake, we began bringing all the details together to create something that felt personal and completely unique to them.

Their vision was a beautiful pastel design, combining soft greens and pretty lilac tones, finished with delicate fresh flowers supplied by Hannah Burnett Florist to complement their wedding flowers perfectly. 🌿💜

They also chose the sweetest personal touch: two Pokémon cake toppers dressed as a bride and groom. It was such a fun and meaningful addition, making the cake even more special to them. 💍✨

It was a real pleasure working with Claire and bringing her ideas to life for their special day at the stunning Elfordleigh. I loved seeing everything come together and creating a cake that reflected both their style and their personalities.

Wishing Mr & Mrs M a lifetime of love, happiness and beautiful memories together 🩷

✨ What an incredible day yesterday at Plymouth’s Wedding Extravaganza! ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, stopped by my stand, sampled the cakes and took the time to chat with me. And thank you so much for your patience while I worked my way through all the lovely couples — it honestly meant so much to see people queuing up to come and talk to me. ❤️

I hope you enjoyed the samples and the cake display, and that it gave you a little inspiration for your own big day.

It was such a joy to meet so many wonderful couples and hear all about your wedding plans. I’m so excited about the conversations we had and can’t wait to see where they lead — hopefully creating some beautiful, bespoke cakes to help celebrate your special day. 🥂🎂

🌸 Congratulations S & W 🌸

It was such a pleasure creating this beautiful wedding cake for Sharon & Wayne and delivering it to Elfordleigh Hotel on a very warm summer’s day!

The design was a lovely process of exchanging ideas , working together to create something that felt personal to them. And of course, we had to include their gorgeous little dog! 🐶💕 They sent me photos for me to work from, which I used to handcraft their little sugar model — I think she makes the cake extra special!

A soft blush tier, delicate florals, elegant silver detailing and plenty of personal touches came together to create their finished cake. 🌸

✨ Beth & Alex’s beautiful wedding cake

It was such a pleasure to create this wedding cake for the lovely Beth and Alex.

I met up Beth and her mum, Becky, in person, where we talked through all the details to bring Beth’s vision to life. She had her heart set on a three-tiered buttercream cake, finished with beautiful white orchids — beautiful and elegant, perfect for their countryside wedding.

As with every bespoke cake I create, I wanted to make sure every detail was just right. When the first orchids arrived, they weren’t quite the true white Beth had envisioned, so rather than compromise on the finished design, I spoke with Beth and we decided to return them and reorder. It’s these little details that matter when you’ve spent so much time planning your dream wedding, and I’m always happy to go the extra mile to make sure everything comes together just as you imagined. 🤍

The wedding venue was tucked away in the beautiful countryside and was a little tricky to find, so I left plenty of time for the journey — something I always like to do when delivering a wedding cake!

With the weather being particularly warm this summer, we also decided to set up later in the afternoon. A buttercream cake and a hot day aren’t the best combination, especially when there’s the option to wait for the cooler part of the day, so it was lovely to be able to take our time and ensure the cake was perfectly placed.

When I arrived, everyone was inside enjoying their wedding breakfast. Seeing the room full of beautifully dressed guests, enjoying themselves and celebrating was such a lovely moment — and then, of course, there was the stunning bride and groom!

Beth and Alex looked absolutely incredible, along with all their guests and it was an absolute pleasure to play a small part in their very special day.

Thank you so much to Beth, Alex and Becky for trusting me with such an important part of your wedding. It was a real pleasure creating your cake, and I hope you had the most wonderful day. 🤍✨
