Acknowledgement from the family of the late Hugh Boyle RIP.
The family of the late Hugh Boyle wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us on the loss of a much-loved husband, daddy, brother and granda.
We wish to offer our deepest gratitude to all who called to our home, brought food, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters and messages of condolence and to all those who travelled long distances to attend the wake and funeral.
A special word of thanks to all family and friends who helped in the home during the wake.
Your kindness and support have been a great comfort to us during this difficult time.
We are deeply grateful to Hughes family Camlough (Fiships), Mc Ardle family (Snaubs), Fitzpatrick family (Timoneys), Kevin Hughes (Carnview Construction), Neil McCourt (Dog Eclipse), Donal Boyle (Toals Bar), Paul Quinn (The Yellow Heifer) and Hugh’s staff from The Shelbourne Bakery. Your support and help will never be forgotten.
Our sincere appreciation is extended to the medical and nursing team in Belfast City Hospital, Dr Mc Kinley and practice, Palliative Care Team and Evora for all their care attention given to Hugh.
A special mention of thanks to the carers who looked after him with such dignity and kindness. We will be forever grateful to you all.
We would like to extend a word of thanks to Fr Sean Mc Cartan for celebrating the requiem mass and burial and to Deacon Philip Carder for concelebrating. To Fr Brian Mc Creesh for visiting him during his illness and to Fr Patrick (Dominican, Newry) for visiting our home and leading prayers during the wake. All of your presence brought great comfort to our family.
To Catherine Clarke sacristan and to Kathleen Moore and Conor Sands and musicians who performed beautifully at the mass. Thanks to the guards of honour that lined the route to the chapel.
Finally thank you to Daniel and his team at Daniel Mallon Funeral Directors for their compassion and professionalism throughout Hughs wake and funeral.
To Eilis & staff at The Wild Butterfly for their beautiful floral arrangements. The Carrickdale Hotel for their hospitality after the funeral mass.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep appreciation.
Hugh’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 26th April 2026 at 11:30am at the Church of St Malachy Carrickcruppen.
