coffee shops don’t just sell caffeine !!!!!

we’re seeing a huge change in the coffee shop/cafe industry where a lot more people are choosing to support local independents over the big corporate chains, does this show that people are wanting to spend their money somewhere where they’re more than just a number ? 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Best Bakery in Derbyshire but…
don’t let that fool you into thinking we’re perfect!!!

4.5 years owning our own business has taught us a lot. The main thing being that we don’t strive for perfection. We strive to create a feeling — somewhere that feels warm, happy and welcoming, and somewhere people want to keep coming back to.

we’ve tried plenty of new things along the way, but we’ve also learnt that we don’t need to chase every new trend. Sometimes it’s about sticking to what you know, doing it well and staying true to yourself.

winning this award feels like a reminder that perhaps we’re doing something right in an industry that feels challenging to survive in.

+ we can’t thank you all enough for being a part of our journey and supporting us throughout it all ###

• we’re back open tomorrow, Monday 28th with cake, açai, coffee + matcha

• we are trialling Monday mornings until October 26th, we will then make a decision whether to continue throughout the winter or rethink it again in the spring

hope you understand, see you then ###
