📚 MEET THE AUTHORS AT TOPLOAF! 📚

We’re delighted to welcome Michael Layton QPM and his wife, Andry, to TOPLOAF on Thursday 15th October for our first Meet the Authors event!

Michael, who lives in Bromsgrove, has had a fascinating career spanning more than 40 years in policing. He began his career with the British Transport Police at Birmingham New Street Station in 1968, eventually reaching the rank of Chief Superintendent with West Midlands Police in 1997.

Awarded the Queen’s Police Medal (QPM) for distinguished police service in 2003, Michael went on to serve with the Sovereign Bases Police in Cyprus where he met Andry, one of a small number of female police officers trained in public order tactics in Cyprus at the time.

Today, Michael is a published author with an incredible 29 books to his name, some of which have been co-authored with Andry. Michael now works as a consultant specialising in crime and community safety.

Whether you’re interested in policing, football history, local history or simply enjoy a good read, this is a great opportunity to meet local authors, browse their books, purchase a copy and have it personally signed.

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome our first Duke of Edinburgh student to TOPLOAF! Jess from South Bromsgrove High School is undertaking her skills placement for her Bronze Award, and was a great addition to the bakery team. We look forward to welcoming her back each week for the next 3 months as she completes her challenge. 😁🍰

Our neighbours, Clifton Trade Bathrooms, are holding their Trade Day on Tuesday 15th September. With exclusive one day deals, supplier demonstrations and freebies on offer throughout the day, eligible bathroom traders could also enjoy a free TOPLOAF breakfast between 8-11am!

Visit Clifton's tomorrow on Sherwood Road, Aston Fields Trading Estate from 8am-4pm for full T&Cs. We hope to be able to welcome you to TOPLOAF too! 😎

Congratulations to the happy couple, Joe and Meg, who held a post-engagement brunch celebration at TOPLOAF recently. We were delighted to host their large party, and thank you to Olly for choosing us for the venue. We've really enjoyed meeting so many lovely customers these last few weeks, and just want to thank you all for your custom during our first summer holidays. 😎

As we now approach the final week before the return to school, we want to let you know that we will be open this Bank Holiday Monday from 9am-4pm, serving our breakfast menu until 12pm and our lunch menu from 12-4pm, alongside a selection of freshly baked cinnamon rolls, cakes and traybakes with gluten-free options.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
