Our signature cookies are called 7 System Canine Cookies as Rudolf Steiner emphasized once, if everybody will eat one kind of grain per day, good health will be the result of it. So the 7 System Canine Cookies are made with each individual grain in each cookie and eaten on the day of the week.The cosmic origins of the days of the week are the 7 heavenly bodies, the planets. And the grains are the reflection of these cosmic forces radiating from these planets. This means that each grain is associated with different days.Sunday (Sun): WheatMonday (Moon): RiceTuesday (Mars): BarleyWednesday (Mercury); MilletThursday (Jupiter): RyeFriday (Venus): OatsSaturday (Saturn): CornWaldorf teachers and those who cook with whole grains attribute different properties to different grains. According to The Waldorf teaching, wheat is often seen as a harmonizer of the organ systems, rice is seen as acting on the digestive system, barley is seen as strengthening to the connective ligaments due to a high silica content and also seen to be soothing to the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines, millet is seen to have warming properties, rye nourishes the head and bones, oats loosens stiffness and increases stamina and resistance to disease, and corn stimulates the metabolism in muscles.Our signature cookies are called Just 7 Canine Cookies as Rudolf Steiner emphasized once, if everybody will eat one kind of grain per day, good health will be the result of it.
