Another day that was an absolute blur 😅 only our 3rd Sunday Bun-Day and they just keep getting bigger!!

Just want to say a massive thank you to everyone for queuing, we know some of you queued for over an hour and didn’t get what you wanted, thank you for being so patient and sorry if you were disappointed 🫶🏼

We don’t have a big industrial bakery, just a small kitchen, one oven, one proofer and two of us bakers 🥲 you guys showed us that 3.30am clearly wasn’t an early enough start to the day. So I think next time we just won’t bother sleeping 🤣

I still worry before these days that people won’t show up, I think I’ve been banned me from saying this now as today was kind of unbelievable 🥲

Absolutely shattered but very very grateful as always 🥰 big love to you all and the amazing team I have behind me at SBH🥹

Sunday Bun-Day is back 🥐

Sunday 4th October, 10am–2pm (or until sold out) for another Sunday full of buns & coffee ☕️

Expect some usual favourites alongside some new limited edition bun flavours making their debut 👀

And a little change from our last Bun-Days — you’ll be able to sit in this time, as we’re not sure October weather will be on our side. Everything will still be served in takeaway packaging to keep things nice & simple for the day, but you’re more than welcome to grab a table.

So, from tomorrow we’re going to aim to have a tray of vegan cinnamon buns available every Friday & Saturday!🤩

They’re something we’ve had lots of requests for so we trialled some last Saturday and after seeing how well they went down it’s something we want to offer more permanently going forwards🌱🤍

What an amazing day we had yesterday!! Thank you so much to everyone that came and queued for buns, don’t think I’ll ever get used to looking out the window to see a queue down the street 🥹 We did a record number of buns yesterday and sold all 360 in 2.5 hours 🤯

The last couple weeks have definitely been tough, we’re still without our main dough mixer so have had to individually mix a tray of dough at a time which is less than ideal on the run up to what we knew would be such a busy weekend…but we did it! Then having to bin 48kg of dough after the fridge disaster 😭

Running a business has definitely taught me that you can’t let setbacks stop you. If you spend too long dwelling on the negatives, it’s only the business that suffers. You really don’t have a choice but to just get on with things!

As always thank you to the team for smashing another intense day, very proud and grateful for our little team and how well we all pull together🫶🏼 Finished the day with some amazing pizzas from ilpadrespizza 🍕

SUNDAY BUN-DAY IS BACK!

We’re excited to be joining in with the Love Belper Festival that’s happening this year, alongside the Resonate Strutt Street Party! 🎉

We’ll be opening Sunday 26th July, 12–5pm (or until we sell out) for another Sunday Bun-Day.

We will be serving
☕️A range of bun flavours and drinks, including all your favourites plus some limited edition flavours.

We’ll be serving takeaway only, so you can grab a bun and enjoy the festivities. There will be tables outside on Strutt Street that will be available to use.
