😎 It has been a long, hot and busy August for the team and we are all ready for a long weekend. Maybe a lie in, a beer or 2 and an ice cream!

😵 Sometimes it is good to take stock!

5 years ago was a BIG day for us. After a lot of waiting around, a lot of unloading, a lot of help, a lot of pushing and shoving (and a storm... remember those?) our shiny new Big Green Cutting Machine slid into Unit 4 and was ready to be commissioned.

It has worked hard over these last 5 years and is now still going strong in Unit 7 with our new laser. Equipment is only half the story of course... the varied and expansive skills in our team make us what we are!

The eclipse finally happens tonight and based on the fact that we have sold out of welding glasses interest has gathered momentum!

Grandma is prepared of course, but says if you don't have the right eye protection, don't be tempted to look!

😍 A flashback to 4 years ago when our 8 original viking figure designs (part of our restoration of the Andover Viking ship) were almost ready to leave the workshop. "Olaf the Corten" seems to have also attracted some "impostors😅.

It has weathered beautifully in the town. Check out the history of Vikings in Andover next time you pass it!

😆 Ralphy has been putting in some overtime and we now have a Business Whatsapp account!

😍 We make branding irons for marking everthing from bespoke furniture to bee hives- but bat boxes is a first!

CA Ecology has chosen this eco-friendly way to mark bat boxes, avoiding paint and other sineage which can be harmful and fade. The volunteers at The Berks & South Bucks bat group have made, donated and installed many hundreds of boxes around the South of England and are currently using stencils. A gift or two might be heading their way!

We look forward to seeing some funky branded boxes!
