Happy 50th birthday to Maryann! πππΎ
Of all cakes THIS was the one I had to do in the 30Β° heat π π
It had been booked in for a year id been so excited to make it, for it to come around and be absolutely dreading it on the day π©
Up until 2:30am went to bed mostly happy with it to get up in the morning at 6am to everything sticky, soft and sunken π Every cake makers nightmare!
I striped and saved it as best I could (the pics are the final cake!) and went on my way to Glandyfi with tears in my eyes but having hand on heart done my best.
The birthday lady was otherwise engaged so I didnt get to speak to her as I wanted but messaged as soon as I got home to explain.
Maryann was an absolute angel and reassured me it was perfectly fine and will be enjoyed.
To then be left this attached review as well just blew me away and took the weight of the world off my shoulders because as she says the customers experience means absolutely EVERYTHING to me and I really hope everyone knows that but also that sometimes things are completely out of my control β€οΈ
