It’s BC Heritage Week and our bakery has something special to celebrate.

Back in 2009, A Bread Affair uncovered a handful of rare 1904 Marquis Wheat kernels. Recognizing the vital role Marquis wheat once played in producing exceptional loaves, we spent six patient years working alongside two BC farmers to bring this heritage grain back to life — a grain that’s highlighted in our signature True Love Marquis loaf today.

Our dedication helped spark the return of Marquis wheat to the province….now that’s a tribute to heritage. 🌾
