Completely out of my comfort zone here - making the “ winter rose “ also known as the “ Hellebore”in cold porcelain clay . It was my first time making this flower n that too in a medium that I’m still a newbie in . All the elements here are handmade - the stamens , pistil and the calyx . The petals were also tinted in oil colors - as this an inedible medium. Will try and make few more variations , to get a better hang of not only the flower but the color and the complex structure and techniques that go onto making it . Stay tuned for more.

Next on my colorful handmade foliage series ( Part 4) - yet another color variation of the beautiful coleus leaves . I love how these leaves look with their bright magenta centers and spring green borders , a dusting spray of green is added on the aubergine leaves to bring realism to it . Hope you like this version as well . 😀😀

Colorful foliage series Part 2. - the beautiful begonias handmade in shades of pink and purple . When foliage is this pretty , one can do away with flowers in a floral arrangement. Not that green leaves are any less beautiful, but given the texture , shade and shape of these leaves , one is totally drawn to these at first glance . I am exploring making many different varieties of foliage lately and am quite happy with the way these have turned out . Hope you like them as well . 😀

Floral Friday wins …. Asiatic lily made in cold porcelain clay . A medium I’m getting more and more comfortable to work with .
Cultivation of these originated in Japan . Unlike other lilies , these are unscented and are smaller , with distinct star shaped blooms with or without subtle speckling in the center . Hope you like my handmade version .

Exploring making different varieties of lilies . This time made the beautiful and delicate “ Casablanca Lily “ in cold porcelain clay ( a non edible medium). Their white petals embody purity and grace and make them ideal for weddings , anniversaries , or new beginnings. Casa Blanca - literally means a white House in spanish ,symbolizing everlasting love and happiness combined with simplicity and elegance much like this beautiful flower .
