Inspired by the highly sought after dessert from the famous Winkel 43 Cafe in Amsterdam, our Dutch Apple Cake is the perfect blend of pie and cake. Tart apples are baked with plump raisins, dark rum, and just the right blend of spices, and enclosed in a sweet and crumbly shortbread-like crust. We recommend serving it the traditional Dutch way with a heaping dollop of fresh whipped cream, but a scoop of Pinocchio Ice Cream would also do the trick.

We’ve teamed up with our good friends over to create a beer bread using their Triphammer Robust Porter instead of water!

This beer has all the good stuff you’d expect from a traditional porter – it’s malty and smooth with notes of fruit and chocolate, and a smoky finish. We’ve managed to infuse those amazing flavors into our bread – using the traditional bread ingredients of flour, salt, and yeast. The resulting crumb is unbelievably moist and soft and the crust is crunchy and flavourful.

The Orange Cardamom Scroll is unbelievably good. Rich, buttery brioche is layered with even more butter for this laminated treat, also known as brioche feuilletée. This version is filled with a house-made orange cardamom pastry cream and finished with a sweet orange glaze. Doing it justice in a description is impossible. You just need to come try it yourself.

So we're launching "Friday Favourite"! Every week, we'll showcase one of our (and your) favourite products from our classic line up.

We're kicking it off with the Seeded Whole Grain loaf!

This stoneground, whole wheat bread is loaded with seeds. You love it because it’s soft and delicious with a dense crumb and a wholesome, nutty flavour. It is also a healthy choice: its high fibre improves digestion and keeps you full.
