The earliest known published butter tart recipe appeared in a 1900 fundraising cookbook created by the Women’s Auxiliary of Royal Victoria Hospital—right here in Barrie! 📍

More than 125 years later, butter tarts remain a much-loved Canadian favourite—and we’re proud to keep that sweet tradition going, one batch at a time. 🍁
