Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

I am so grateful for each and every one of you who have crossed paths with me at one point or another. Whether it was at church, downtown Barrie or at various farmer’s markets and events.

I have been operating The Happy Hen for 12 years now. And during this time, I have connected with so many amazing people who became friends and loyal customers. For you, I am thankful.

With that being said, have decided to hang up my apron and close The Happy Hen.

My heart has shifted significantly over the past year with my passion focusing on the Barrie street community and the Busby Centre.

I am excited for this next chapter but will definitely miss the faces of my customers as they take their first bite of The Happy Hen buttertarts, or the excitement when they pick up their pie order for a family gathering. These moments were very special to me.

This Thanksgiving I am grateful for YOU.

Praying for those who have lost loved ones due to overdose and for those experiencing addiction/dependency.

Working closely with individuals who suffer with addiction makes me realize just how important it is to spread awareness and encourage action in the event of an overdose.

Whether it's a friend, parent, child or a perfect stranger on the street, they all are somebody. EVERYBODY IS SOMEBODY.
